O warsztacie: Nature Moving

Weź udział w warsztacie Nature Moving, który zaprasza Cię do zanurzenia się w tańczącym dialogu między Twoim ciałem a światem natury. W tej przestrzeni, pod czujnym okiem artystki tańca i badaczki ruchu Kasi Witek – rezydentki Domu Utopii – odkryjemy, że człowieczeństwo istnieje jedynie w splocie z tym, co nie-ludzkie.

Poprzez obudzenie obrazow w wyobraźni nauczymy się zmieniać naszą świadomość, pozwalając, by ciało instynktowne i odczuwające mogło w pełni się ujawnić. W czasie warsztatu będziemy korzystać z tematów jak: ruch ewolucyjny oraz nasz wspólny ze istotami nie-ludzkimi rodowód. ciało w odpowiedzi na krajobraz, badania percepcyjne. Zauważając wolnosc, jaka pojawia się, gdy przyjmujemy swoją naturę jako istoty zwierzęce, poruszające się w dialogu z otoczeniem.

Warsztaty są otwarte dla każdego, kto chce zgłębić relację swojego ciała z naturą i odkryć nowe wymiary ruchu – bez względu na wiek czy doświadczenie.

Prowadząca

Artystka tańca Kasia Witek obecnie działa pomiędzy Wielką Brytanią a Polską. Jej prace choreograficzne obejmują instalację, wideo, teatr oraz performans w plenerze. Jako twórczyni i performerka zajmuje się tematyką empatii ze środowiskiem, a także inteligencją ciała w kontekście wspólnoty w społeczeństwie. Jej dotychczasowe prace choreograficzne to między innymi Trąbka do słuchania (2021) w reż. Agnieszki Glinskiej, Baśń o Wężowym Sercu (2022) (rez. Beniamin Bukowski) w Narodowym Teatrze Starym w Krakowie, Solastalgia (2023), Manekiny (2024) Opera Wrocławska, Memory Score (2020), one wall of me (2019), The Matter Of the Soul (2018) we współpracy z artystką dźwięku Kat Austen otwierał Greenpeace Hub na szczycie klimatycznym ONZ 2018. Nominowana do nagrody Arts Foundation Futures Awards2025 for Dance. Obecnie realizuje stypendium badawcze KPO Ministerstwa Kultury, a także pracuje nad projektem „Kantaten”, którego premiera odbędzie się 12 grudnia 2024 roku w Muzeum Sztuki Współczesnej MOCAK.

Absolwentka Northern School of Contemporary Dance, studiów z Jasmin Vardimon Company w Royal Holloway University of London oraz London Contemporary Dance School, które ukończyła z wyróżnieniem. Jest laureatką Exit Visa Residency w The Place (2016). Współpracuje z Polskim Ośrodkiem Kulturowo Społecznym w Londynie i jest członkiem Chisenhale Dance Space.

About the Workshop: Nature Moving

Join the Nature Moving workshop, inviting you to immerse yourself in a dancing dialogue between your body and the natural world. In this space, under the careful guidance of dance artist and movement researcher Kasia Witek, who is a resident in Dom Utopii, we will explore the idea that humanity exists only in connection with the non-human world.

Through imagery work, we will learn to affect our consciousness, allowing the instinctive and sensory body to fully emerge. During the workshop, we will draw on themes such as: evolutionary movement and our shared ancestry with non-human others, the body and the landscape, and perceptual inquiry. We will notice the freedom that arises when we embrace our nature as animal beings moving in dialogue with our surroundings.

For Whom?

The workshop is open to anyone who wants to deepen the relationship between their body and nature and explore new dimensions of movement – regardless of age or experience.

Facilitator

Dance artist Kasia Witek currently works between the United Kingdom and Poland. Her choreographic works include installations, video, theatre, and outdoor performance. As a maker and performer, she works with themes of empathy with the environment and the intelligence of the body. Her previous choreographic works include Trąbka do słuchania (2021) directed by Agnieszka Glinska, Baśń o Wężowym Sercu (2022) directed by Beniamin Bukowski at the National Old Theatre in Kraków, Solastalgia (2023), Manekiny (2024) at the Wrocław Opera, Memory Score (2020), one wall of me (2019), and The Matter of the Soul (2018) in collaboration with sound artist Kat Austen, which opened the Greenpeace Hub at the UN Climate Summit in 2018. Nominated for the Arts Foundation Futures Awards 2025 for Dance. She is currently carrying out a research grant from the Ministry of Culture’s KPO program and working on the project Kantaten, which will premiere on December 12, 2024, at the Museum of Contemporary Art MOCAK.
